New Moon with ultraviolet light of Adhara

New Moon on July 14th 2026 at 21°59’ Cancer (Tropical) or 27°45’ Gemini (Sidereal) is stacked between Castor and Pollux, twins, after whom constellation of Gemini was named. This galactic influence can be used to look at themes of dependency and mirroring in our life. However, there is another layer of galactic themes for this New Moon that I find even more captivating.

Moon and Sun are tightly conjunct with Adhara, Epsilon Canis Majoris, one of the stars in constellation of Canis Major or Big Dog, known for hosting Sirius, the brightest visible star in the sky. According to Arabic mythology Adhara (literally “maiden” or “virgin”) was the wife of Alsuhail (Lambda Velorum), who killed her and fled to avoid revenge. His two sisters Yemeni (Sirius) and Shami (Procyon) followed him. Yemeni was able to cross celestial river and join her brother, Shami was not and stayed on the other side weeping over their separation.

Adhara is one of the hottest and brightest stars which is known for emanation of extreme ultraviolet light. 5 millions years ago it was the brightest in the sky as it was much closer to the Earth. Since then it’s been drifting further away from Solar system and dimming its light due to increasing distance. In a way it passed the baton to Sirius guided by Velorum beings on Alsuhail and other stars in Vela (Sails) from Vela Supercluster which corrects the Milky Way trajectory.

New Moon Adhara along with Mercury Retrograde offers us an opportunity to transcend in its ultraviolet light all outdated ideas of false grandeur and superficial abundance. North and South Nodes or Nodes of Fate are at critical 0° Pisces and Virgo accordingly before moving to Aquarius and Leo square Chiron in 0° Taurus (conjunct with Pleiades) and showing where exactly we are releasing addictive and perfectionist patterns in order to step into full power of self-worth and True Abundance.
