New Moon on Feb 17 2026 welcomes the annular solar eclipse and kicks off the year of Fire Horse.
In Tropical system Sun and Moon conjunction occurs at 28° of Aquarius, in Sidereal — at 4° of Aquarius and aligned with a star Gienah, Epsilon Cygni in constellation of Cygnus or Swan.
Gienah means “wing” in Arabic and marks the wing of Swan constellation. There is another star with the same name on the other side of ecliptic (Gamma Corvi), that marks the wing of Crow in constellation of Corvus. Both stars connect us to the Avian Galactic families and activate our ability to take off, to start over, to take leaps, to fly over the old. Crow usually directs us into the underworld, in the realm of shadow work, that reveals hidden truths and retrieve forgotten and abandoned parts of psyche. Swan, on the other hand, meets us at the gates out of the catacombs and leads to new heights, new frequencies, new light.
On a human level (Tropical) we are finishing the cycle, breaking free from old tunes of victimhood and complacency. On a level of spirit (Sidereal) we keep enjoying freedom of high altitude and dare to fly even higher.
Aphrodite, Greek goddess of Love and Fertility, had a chariot drawn by swans. Saraswati, Hindu goddess of Wisdom, had Hamsa (Swan) as her vehicle. Swans were symbols of Beauty, Purity and Grace. But these majestic birds as well as their galactic counterparts are not mellow, eye pleasing creatures, they are known for their unapologetic Fierceness, Loyalty and Protectiveness. Through the portal of solar eclipse Galactic Swan will give us a chance to soar up high to embody all the qualities and make sure we are loyal to Purity, protective of Beauty and fiercely Graceful.
